Where there is nobody,
No, Companions,
No friends,
may I just disappear wherever I wish,
Fall sleep wherever I please,
let the world search me, but
may there be no sign of me."
Aimlessness, at times, can give us freedom from the mundane world and all its encumbrances. However continued aimlessness will affect our growth. the period of aimlessness should be utilised to ponder and regain focus. Nature has created everything with a unique aim. Rivers flow to meet the oceans, mountains pose a challenge to conquer them, the list goes on and on and on......
At times aimlessness is not harmfull.
Rather, Nature prepares us to set higher standards for ourselves.
How to set an Aim?
We must clearly know where we want to reach and rest will get done. the fielder always eyes the ball and his body reacts spontaneously to take the catch
There is one beautifull story in Mahabharat.
Guru Dronacharya was once questioned by his son that why he is tilted towards Arjun, even though he is father to him(Ashwathama). In his answer Dronacharya takes his disciples to a tutorial including Kauravs and Pandavs. He set a target of an eye of a bird on a tree. First he asked Duryodhan to take aim and asked, "what do you see?"
Duryodhan replies, "Isee the tree, the mountain behind the bird, the green fields in the distance and a part of the village." Dronacharya told him to sit down and so on every prince was called for and was asked to aim and every one replied in same manner.
At last the same question was put to Arjun, when he took the aim.
Arjun replied, " I see only the bird, when questioned further he said now i see only the eye of the bird." And Arjun`s arrow hit the target.
Then Dronacharya told his son, never to question Arjun`s commitment.
To see an aim is to see it clearly.
The rest will happen and you will achieve your goal.
