India's government can whine all it likes, but the people are waking up and telling the government that it's time to smell the coffee.............. Governments hate it when the people exercise their democratic freedoms..........

^ 3 months down the line all these ppl will be busy with their lives letting stupid politicians rule the state yet again.

People have the memory of the gold fish...

^^ Agnel, that's certainly a possibility, perhaps even a probability given that Amrika will go to any lengths to avoid India & Pakistan going to war and they will no doubt throw money at India hand over fist for a variety of reasons in order to stop any attacks across the border from going ahead..... But personally, I don't think the community are going to let the government allow this to die quietly.....

However, I don't think Barack Obama will want to have his first term marred by a war he allowed to start:

India & Pakistan are both Commonwealth nations and I believe America would prefer not to upset its major allies, Australia, Canada & England by furnishing matériel to one side or the other, (not saying that they wouldn't, just that they'd probably prefer not to)

America and its allies are already involved in armed conflict on two borders, I doubt that the Americans have the wherewithal to take on a militant Pakistan, (especially if regular forces are likely to become involved), a three sided conflict is probably too much, even for them....

The global economy is still pressing hard on the Americans, essentially they're in recession, or damn close to it, just like the rest of us

They won't want to risk China spreading its influence on behalf of either party, (especially India, since there's already a degree of equanimity between the two nations)

Religion plays a huge part in India and if war came to fruition, it's doubtful if religious leaders would be able to stem the partisan crowds, especially when blood is drawn and that could quickly have repercussions around the world......
