a lot of fuss goes in the US. they are making a stealth fighter its true its the x-350 or something like that.
and i dont think they are making hypersonic fighter.
they just designed the F-22A not even inducted and it costs soo much $130million per piece that the US air force can buy only 200 of them.
Its main advantages are stealth , supercruise and a speed excess of mach 1.6.

supercruise is a term said when a fighter moves > 1.5+ mach speed without afterburners making it no prone to radition heat signature thus increasing the stealth.

the F22 took around 20 years to develop,and the senators are shouting that if thins goes this way us wud ruin its economy gradually i dont see any stealth fighters coming next 30-40 years.F22a is going to be inducted around 2012 and would serve atleast 30 years ...

Russia is much more brilliant in making fighters they are just cash stripped.look at the blackjack look at the tu0's sukhois design that remained a concept.he black jack gave the US nightmares and so it developed the B2 bomber which costs 200million per piece and US has only 8 OF THEM.
so you see in us a fighter costs trillions to develope while in russia only some billion.If the world is going to see the second fifth generation aircraft from this world it will be through INDO-RUSSIAN venture of the PAKFA project which has been already started.

btw good news india acquiring some backfires and blackjack.blackjack has typical operation range of 14000 km and it is a bomber which is only second to the B2.its payload is friggin 40 tonnes.this isnt deterrance its showing india is going from deterrance to power projection.
