Cool Ajax News Ticker is now Live!
The Fun Ticker on FE just got Better!!!

Using ajax feeds and youtube api from google i have generated a custom mashup for FE that will show live breaking news(with images if available) of the latest news stories as they happen. The ticker is updated every 15 minutes.



Hows the ticker different from the last one?
By quite a bit! This new code uses live feeds to generate the news stories rather than a search pull that was done earlier. In plain words while the earlier ticker showed the stories based on predefined search criteria, the new ticker shows news as it happens in any category/region.


What does the ticker cover?
The ticker shows the top 4 news headlines in different categories:
World
India
Business
Sports
Entertainment
Health
Science

It takes just less than 4 minutes to check whats happening in the world with a brief outline of the story.



Wait there is more!
Also integrated is a youtube api that allows inline video viewing right here on FE. I have modified the existing youtubes gadgets for FE, adding more features and put it live here.



No need to go to youtube.com. Search, share videos right here from FE. Whats more we also show you whats hot, most viewed and featured for that day on youtube.

Check it out by Show/Hide video in the shoutbox.
