FE Short Story Contest - Horror Theme
The Contest
Write a short story of under 1000 words on Horror ...
Write a short story of under 1000 words on Horror theme and submit it to our Contest Forum to be later published in the Writer's Cafe.
The Contest Duration is 7 days from today. The contest will end on the night of March 15th, 2009.
Make sure the theme is Horror(although we know you will probably write a comedy but thats fine ). Word limit is not rigid but stick to brevity. Your entry should be in English although you can use a bit of "Local Flavour" in language. And finally don't waste time copying stories from the internet. We are very good at finding plagiarism.
Contest Prize: If you are from India, you will get a 500 Bucks Gift Voucher from IndiaPlaza. If you are not in India, you will be given a Gift Voucher from Zinio. All those who take part will also be given 500 nickels for participation
Who will decide the winners? Admin and the managers. Everyone else can take part and stand to win, including the mods.
Contest Rules
No Plagiarism please. Donot copy other people's stories. We will disqualify copied entries.
The contest is open to all FE members.
Everyone can take part but Admins and Managers are exempted from winning.
We will need your name, email address for the delivery of the gift voucher. Cash Prize in lieu of the voucher will not be offered.
The management reserves the right to change contest rules at any point during the contest.
Only new submissions will be eligible. We will not allow older posts to be resubmitted.
Multiple Story Submissions are allowed. A sequel/prequel will do just fine
Remember to post your Horror Stories Here: Contest Forum - FunEnclave Contest Forum is a special forum where you alone can see your own threads and posts. You are free to edit/delete your story as many times you want and not even a mod can see your or any other person's thread.
After the contest, your stories will be moved to the "Writer's Cafe"
1) The copyright of the submissions will remain with the author. FE will always quote it as your work.
2) The word limit is not rigid. If you feel you can write a "Gripping" 3000 word story, go ahead. But remember, a bad 3000 word story is worse than a bad 500 word one
3) Its implied but for the sake of clarity, irrespective of the number of submissions, you will only be awarded 500 nickels per member.
Dear All Members, who requested to extend the date of the Above Contest
The date cannot be extended, as per management decision. The above date still stands. So your entries will be accepted till 15th Midnight Indian Standard Timing.
Guys, Since there are atleast 3 guys who say that one some pretext or the other beyond their control, they could not submit, we have extended the contest by one day. Considering its a Sunday today, i think its fair to give everyone a chance.
We will close the contest tomorrow evening i.e. Monday 16th March 2009, Midnight IST
