I would talk to the alien and see if he can speak and understand what i speak 
If that is the case, i'd see if the alien is trustworthy unlike us human beings

I would have given a free RS premium account for the contributer of the week
TV commercial isn't a bad idea, but it would bring in a lot of unwanted people too and it would spoil the community On a second thought i like FE as it is
