but they have taken care of strong waves... buy building steps out in the sea, that would reduce the force of the wave and cut them down.. effectively cutting down the velocity and the size of the waves... .. i think the precautions they have taken are good enough...

and i think 'The World' is bigger marvel then the palms.... owning your own island.... maaan.. that should do it.. imagine buying it now.. and selling it when its all developed.. looads of profits... damn nice

very soon.. you would see glass buildings in Dubai.lol... with so much sand.. and i wouldnt be too surprised if Las Vegas-3 comes up in Dubai.. lol.... man they are on a role.

^Well normal tidal waves are a different thing...those steps cannot stop a giant tsunami...even something like the one tht came on December 26th 2004 wud be devastating..

The tsunami tht originated at sumatra, went all the way upto the african continent...so u can imagine the force and the momentum of the waves...

Nothing can stop nature when its at its best...

Also the rising ocean levels worldwide mean, sooner or later it'll get submerged...so wots the use..??

Moral of the story, breathe easy and buy property on solid land, away from the sea.....

You think the people who are paying so much money for this and the people who have invested a hundred times more would not have thought of this

The thing is, that Gulf area isnt really prone to earthquakes(so quake-triggerred quakes woint happen) and even the sea isnt very rough in that area.

Of course, by "wont" I dont mean it will never happen, but the chances are very very small.

dude.... when u invest million in a project as ambitious as this.. you offcourse take ever possible calamity in mind and then invest.. would u buy a house inland if it was built on mud and not a conrete foundation??

and dont worry about tsunami. if u have the cash.. buy an island now... later sell it... and then go get a house inland....
