12k for the cam (getting it w/o bill from Heera Panna, here in Mumbai.. )
.8k for the 2 gb sandisk card
n maybe a coupla hundred bucks for the carrying case and tripod...

S5 is available for 14.5k but imo, still not worth the extra dough..

got the S3 today..yippiee...

Will post the pics taken by it later as i have to learn a few things about taking pics in 'P' n 'M' mode.. I've never been a fan of the 'Auto' mode..so, m not taking pics until i get the hang of the manual controls of the S3...

So, for the time being, i'm posting the pics of the S3 taken by my P990i...

Thanks loki...imo, if u want to save some money and still get gr8 pics, the S3 IS isnt a bad choice..the S5 will only add 2 more MPs and the noise levels are higher in the S5...the half inch bigger lcd in the S5 is something tht i wudnt bother much about.. IMO, in 12k, this is the best cam tht u can get.. the S5 IS is 14.6k and i dont think the extra 2.6k is worth it..

I read a review of S5 and found the only main diff between s3 and s5 is that s5 has better tolerence to noice. it has DIGIC III image processor and lens-based optical image stabilisation system.
