look at the head, its frm a RX100. clearly distinguishable since its much smaller than the barrel

And can't you get thru the run-in period in one go - take it out for a whole day and cover that 200+ km's.

gotta go to mech n get the timing retarded...bike heating is worrying me no dangers of seizure though stood in the rebore shop and made sure the rebore and clearances were all perfect. Yesterday during testing bore had heated A LOT..but no seize

About the heating, get a TR Ultra-120 and do a water cooling for it

oi saihen engines put up close to 50 times heat what your CPU puts out i'll have to put 50 of those towers

watercooling will be too much...engine will run too cool and hence reduced engine life...every engine has a particular temperature when it runs in it, engine life will increase

small update

Was cleaning up th bike a bit..noticed teh silencer needed cleaning. Out came chrome polish. Polished all visible chrome parts

Next i saw the head. looked yuck pakka refurb maal decided to spruce it up a bit. So out came my HSF lapping kit!!!!

So...Comes out super strong acetone to remove all paint on the head...cleaned it... tried only Al polish...shined a bit, but had ugly spots see below...This is stage 1



Hmmm...now what? lemme lap the head hehehe

Noticed i was really short of 1200grit paper so did the lapping only with the 600grit. Here are the results took me 2 hours of non stop rubbing ooh my arm aches a lot





Here's the head under tubelight...was too dark by now...



The head has got just Stage 2 polish. Will do stage 3 polish tomorrow, stage 4 yet to arrive from USA

Well I saved some 300 bucks needed for progfessional buffing, plus several downtime on the bike, and avoiede prob of removing head and all wheeee DIY rocks!!!!!!!

Hey, he can finish it in less than a day. Just has to travel at 100Kmph for 2 hours
