Eicher (Q, N,C,F) has reported a jump in net profits for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. During the quarter, the company`s profits went up 182% to Rs. 38.96 million from Rs. 13.81 million in the previous year. Sales for the quarter declined 1.53% to Rs. 39.24 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.
Earnings per share for the quarter rose to Rs 3.49, compared to Rs 1.21 in the comparable quarter.
Eicher Limited (EL) is the leader in the small tractor segment. Its other business divisions include motorcycles and gears. Each of this is run as an individual business unit.
Nice to see this. I really do like Siddharth Lal the CEO of the group. He was the guy who turned around Royal Enfield. He took on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

To try and improve the reliability of Enfield bikes.... and he was the one who introduced the Thunderbird.
And now, he has proved himself with Eicher. Way to go
