Maruti to hike prices by Rs.12,000/-
Maruti Udyog Limited, the country's largest car manufacturer has annoucned that it will increase prices by upto Rs 12000/- for all models in January 2007.
The car maker which had last hiked prices in August, due to increase in freight and other input costs, has decided to go in for another revision and informed its dealers of the same, market and dealer sources said.
It has already informed all it's dealers abt the impending price hike from January 2007. But it has not yet revealed how much costlier each car will be.
The company has said it will go for a plant maintainence from December 24th - 31st and advised dealers to plan their wholesales from the factory in such a way that they do not face a stock-out situation for the stock at old price.
The new prices will be applicable on all dispatches from the date of announcement of actual price increase and there would be no price protection for pending orders, the company has said.
