Well still havent got bike as apache rtr confused me totally..so right now....mileage stuff most important for me as getting bike has become necessity........cant go for expensive one since bike handling in my building is expensive stuff(small kids playing ard)...so was thinking to get either of these 2.....
One is released..other dont know when its releasing but sure shot in nov.......but is it really worth the wait..or shd go ahead with the exceed 125?????also how is honda shine???

Flame looks good......But Exceed excels in Mileage part*ur interest*
Honda Shine is good but cannot excel in Mileage part again.....but i've to mention this that HONDA has better engine than Bajaj or TVS!!! my experience *HONDA UNICORN*
b/w wid Bajaj you cud get more wider service stores whereas Honda's are more than TVS.
the Service is prompt from HONDA's side.
TVS Flame including a Digital speedometer n everything gives an edge over other bikes.....but I am surely not gonna advice you on a TVS bike......

B/w Exceed claims for a 109KMPL you can easily deduct 20-30KMPL from that...so it ranges around 70-75KMPL.

or if you wanna go for +looks+mileage-performance = TVS Flame, -looks+mileage+performance=Exceed, +/-looks+mileage++performance=Shine


all this is my IMO...you sure wait for other expert advices on your purchase....cos u aint gonna buy bike daily

yah saw the bike now.........Bajaj XCD....gr8 bike....go for it.....

exceed looks great but for that drum break in the front. .. eeeeeks.. that sucks totally

Off late or infact to my knowledge Bajaj has been suffering from major quality issues since quite some time now. A prime example is the XCD itself... Yesterdays english dailies carried the same yestrday.
Issues like faulty electronic components with the self-start, head lamps, centre stand and god know what more and Bajaj has called in for a semi-recall of its supposed to be superior product.
Another example of quality issue is with their P200 & P220 with front-fork issues.

Honda or Hero Honda on the other hand are good bikes with refined engines, but no mazza in riding these bikes.

TVS on the other hand is a company that is putting up heavy R&D efforts to manufacturer some of the most competitive products. A good example would be the APAche RTR 160, being the best in its class, with decent fuel economy too.
TVS is the only Indian 2-wheeler company to test all their products rigorously on a on a race track and the Flame is definitely one of them..They are the only 2-wheeler company in India to actively participate in racing. The others think its just an expensive game to play.
Look at all the international biggies, they like to play it the same way. Put their products to task b4 putting them up on sale to their customers.

If ur looking at a decent executive segment 125cc types bike, I strongly suggest to wait for the artistically engineered and designed FLAME. Decent power, mileage and with great looks. Disc breaks are powerfull too, used to bring a bike to standstill position, which is something the XCD does not offer. Its also has a storage compartment in the tank area, to keep ur personals like gloves, cell phone, wallet. Its very practically designed with an all black and red theme.

U must be eager to buy a bike, but wait and watch, the Flame is gng to be a competitively priced bike with styling u won't find in any 2-wheeler within the same segment. Its more like a work or art i'd say ;c)
