Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony Rehearsal Video

In a shocking development, a South Korean cameraman(working for SBS) has managed to provide the first glimpse of what people can expect to see at the Olympic Opening Ceremony on August 8 in Beijing.
Apparently the cameraman managed to sneak inside the stadium in Beijing where the ceremony was taking place and shot the same.

Needless to say the Chinese are furious..

"We are disappointed and frustrated with the broadcast by SBS,'' Beijing Olympics committee spokesman Sun Weide said at a press conference today.

"This was against the rules…and we hope that everyone will wait until August 8 to see the opening ceremonies."

"It is disappointing that someone comes in there and literally steals one of the most exciting moments of the Games," said Kevan Gosper, an International Olympic Committee executive board member. "This is a great surprise and I have not heard of this happening before."

Whether SBS was allowed in the opening ceremonies rehearsal is unclear, and Sun did not indicate whether or how SBS would be punished for the recording.

"This matter is still under investigation,'' Sun said. "We are checking into the situation."

There is more to this than what meets the eye. For starters the chinese are very good at keeping secrets, secret, so how a cameraman just went inside the stadium without being noticed is a bit hard to digest.
The quality of video is pretty good too, certainly not of a hidden camera.

Off late...everyone is gtg paid for letting the cat outta bag...GAME copies getting sold before street dates, Movies being pirated before it releases, such events being staged & showed in media....Media people are gtg restless, to show something other than the same old Story...hence they go ahead & create a hype around the same & leak it themselves....pathetic.........

Do you think one media journalist can do that.

Sorry there is more to this and i don't think the Chinese authorities are being very truthful.

1) It has ignited national passion in China. Strong nationalistic feeling of trying to protect something that's so big and their own
2) A big international hype before the event.

A lot of people said the same thing here, security is so tight in China, it's hard to imagine that the Chinese authorities didn't know about the camera team....

At the end of the day, all you see is a rehearsal for what should be something really worthwhile, unlike the total bullsh*t we got handed for the Sydney Olympic Opening Ceremony.............

So many people were angry about that...... Same with the Commonwealth Games, best part of that was when Aish, SAK and co. came on for the bollywood component.... (Looking forward to 2010 when India will show us what a REAL ceremony is supposed to be
