gerdemann in his first major ride drove a marvelous race. Absolutely shocking move with 8km to go to summit when he left de la fuente behind and took the charge.
2 Spaniard's completed the 2nd and 3rd(landaluze and de la fuente)
yellow jersey goes to gerdemann with 3mins 30 secs clear of the favorite kloden (i couldn't find the name of sastra in the chase group? what happened there)
Mcwean the sprinters came in 10mins late but that was more a survival for them
Another massive alps stage tomorrow. Multiple cat 1 climbs. I don't think geremann is gonna be in the reckoning after seeing the froth that was forming in his mouth I am still betting on kloden and sastra.
oh and what terrific willpower by Vinokourov. He managed to remain in the main chase group even after the extent of his injuries. Real shame that accident or this guy was a clear favorite.

including Kloden, leipheimmer, vinokourov sastre, gusev, valverde, Karpets, Cadel Evans, Oscar parriero, Menchov, Popovych, Moreau, iban Mayo, schleck, Rogers.
So in fact all big names preserved their energy for today. now you cant expect any big breakaways for today so it will make a exciting race to watch.
Todays climbing chart shows 4 --> 3 --> 2 --> 1 --> 1 --> 1, man thats scary.
there will be a lot of withdrawals today or tomorrow.

there will be a lot of withdrawals today or tomorrow. the sprinters are gonna fall pretty badly today. Eliminations are sure.
The climbs are gonna be fun. (if ten sports allows us to watch that is)
Edit:
Just saw this 14:15 - 18:45 Moto GP : MOTORRAD GRAND PRIX DEUTSCHLAND
18:45 - 19:00 Sports News
19:00 - 21:30 Tour De France Day 8 these ten sports guys are complete fools. Moto GP over tour de france and then sports news
Talk about foolishness and this when motogp is coming on star sports also.

Michael Rogers goes from hero to zero in one crash
Damn even i am feeling bad for him now. He had the yellow jersey today and now he is out of the tour.
What a tumble by the way. Lucky man oroyo, he should thank his gods he fell in area of forest or today someone could have taken a shortcut decent
28km to go and the big Michael Rasmussen is riding like there is no tomorrow. No wonder he is the king of the mountains
And Tmobile is minus 3 players along with team leader now with rogers gone so guess who's left gerdemann

Rogers was riding a race of his life and boy oh boy what a crash.
i wonder how did arroyo survive that tumble into the forest.
After that rasmussen left whole peloton flumoxed and when they did realise it was too late.
Flying Chicken justifiable explained his nicks.
he truly is a king of mountains.
the gap could have been shorter if moreau, mayo, sastre and whole group had not attacked each other.
Alberto contador is looking promising for team discovery channel.
Today is a well deserved rest day.

The challengers Sastra looks jaded and vinokourov is injured.
