Manchester United have been dealt a massive blow with the news that this summers big signing Michael Carrick will miss up to a month of the new season after the England midfielder damaged ankle ligaments in the 1-0 friendly win against Ajax this weekend.

Ajax skipper Kenneth Perez can be thanked for this latest blow following a needless foul on Carrick. This injury leaves question marks over our start as Sir Alex Ferguson is also waiting on news of injuries to Gary Neville, Gabriel Heinz, Rio Ferdinand and John O'Shea.

MAN U needs a new manager
Nothing against SAF.....he was,is and will be a gr8 Manager BUT i think his time has come
As far as this season goes i think theyll be in the 4th or 5th spot.
