Look at the ride day before for HAUTACAM, with evans its more like sit at the front, unassuming and slowly tick off the points.
And the idiot Valverde, so much before the tour and the guy cracked on the first big climb of the tour. He is a goner for me now(4min 41 secs down today). Imo team CSC has a great chance with Sastra(Again he didn't turn up the pace day before) and surprize of the tour Frank Schleck.
Imo Sastra has to make his move and i think he can with team CSC who are very very strong compared to Silence Lotto. Just pass off the next 2 days and lets get ready for the big battle in the Alps
Btw i have really enjoyed the tour this year. Lot of daring breakaways have been successful and Ricardo Rico has been the find of the tour almost similar to Soler last year. A pity he is not going for the overall win this year but a real promising man on the cycling circuit. And how good are the Saunier Duval Scott team been with 3 stage victories and Rico, Cobo and Piepoli all in the top 25. Loved the mountain rides.
I don't know any other sports i enjoy watching more on TV other than the tour de france. It has it all, excitement, awesome speed and strategy. The best game in the world. ---------------------------------------------- |

If you have nothing to say about the sport, then keep off.

rico himself committed that he is not aiming for GC position but a few stage victories and a good educative outing.
he will be a force to reckon with next year and hope Astana arrives too.
btw did you read Bruneel`s letter regarding ommission of Astana its

The 24-year-old who has won two mountain stages in this year's race, tested positive for the banned subtance CERA (Continuous Erythropietin Receptor Activator) after a urine test. Ricco was questioned by French police and was driven away before the start of today's 12th stage between Lavlanet and Narbonne.
As a result Saunier Duval, Ricco's team, have announced they have withdrawn from this year's race. AFP: More scandal for Tour as Ricco tests positive Tour de France faces more controversey after Ricardo Ricco tests positive - Times Online
The best young rider in the sports The guy had the white jersey and if someone watched, he was instrumental in the vicious attacks on the pyrenees. No wonder the Saunier Duval team has withdrawn, with a team of riders, this is a big shock. This guy won 2 stages..
Anyway good enough, the scum has to be cleared. Atleast the big boys of the tour are clean, the evans and the sastra's of the world

this is sad for cycling. They are out.
Actually the commentators are wondering why the whole team has withdrawn. So its wither that they have more dirty linen that they wanna protect or they are just too embarrassed.
Its a real bad publicity. I just hope team CSC is clean. The bike riding of Jen Voigt is so spectacular that i am not too sure. I hope and pray the guy is clean cos its unreal otherwise.

i personally feel if silence-lotto and csc does not do something in alps then penultimate day timme trial will decide the winner of this years race.
barring few daredevil acts there has been no show of strategy or team attacks so its not that much exciting.
had astana been allowed now under Johan bruneel then it would have flattened everyone.
read his angle of story here :: Johan Bruyneel::

Well they need 2 mins buffer over Evans else he will win the time trial for sure. Its a long one at that also. A 50 KM+ one.
But i am sure the others, especially Menchov(Mark my words) will attack. He looks nice and cool right now adn everyone is worried about the Russian. And one will be foolish to discount team CSC.
Awesome link there Doc. Will read Johan's post after the race today.

What brilliant acceleration, absolutely everyone else is left biting the dust
I wanted Robbie hunter to win for Barloworld though. that team has had real bad luck with the crashes.
Hushovd was another serios contender imo, although he never really exploded today, i thought with the green jersey up for grabs, he would go for it(something about not feeling to well?) Freiro still reins supreme.
And so is Evans, holding off the 1 second gap. But i continue to have high hopes from Menchov and sastra And there is the threat of Christian vandevelde there too Thats a real surprise
Alps are coming in 2 days Get ready for the BIG battle
