World Chess Championships 2008
Bonn, Germany
14th October - 2nd November, 2008
Vishvanathan Anand (India) V/s Vladimir Kramnik (Russia)
Perhaps the greatest sportsman produced by India and Defending champion from WCC 2007 in Mexico Vishvanathan Anand Popularly known as "Vishy" will take former champion from WCC 2006 in Bonn from Today in a 12 Game Match.
Chess is the game of wits and wizardy, but it also had its fair share of controversies.
After a long discussed and negotiated Reunification was achieved between FIDE (world Governing body) and WCC / PCA the rival factions, from 2006 onwards there is reign of undisputed champion of world.
The conditions of reunification were complicated and they also gave undue advantage to Vladimir Kramnik (the rival champion) and Vaselin topalov (the Last FIDE champion).
So much exclusive and coveted this title has become that only 15 persons have been able to win title of world champion of chess since 1886.
here are few screenshots of past history:

Apparently both the players are evenly matched to each other.
The world critics and players are divided in their opinion for the winner with little advantage to Anand.
My heart being pounding for India I will be rooting for Anand till the last move is played.
